The Tech Pages:

   These pages deal with circuits, testing, and general subjects of a technical nature. All of the pages that deal with amplifier design problems have been moved here. The tested and untested circuit pages have been moved here also. They are in a few categories as follows, more will be added as they come up:

The Tubelab - a page that details my Tubelab vacuum tube circuit prototyping system.

The Power Supplies page - explains my choices for prototyping power supplies.

The Amplifier Testing page - explains how I test amplifiers.

The Tube Testing page - outlines specific testing that I did on a specific tube for a specific purpose.

The Component Testing page - outlines the testing of some specific components for a specific purpose.

The Tested and Proven Circuits page - outlines some circuits that find use in vacuum tube amplifiers. All of these circuits have been built and received some testing.

The Ideas and Circuits page - outlines some concepts that could have use in vacuum tube amplifiers. Some of these have no received no testing or have never been built. Some are just pure theory.

Often there are several experiments to find the answer to a single question. Sometimes there are experiments to determine the usefulness of a single tube type. There will be more of these as I go through the large collection of tubes in my warehouse. Some of these experiments were the result of a question asked on the DIYaudio forums. If this was the case the particular thread is identified in the individual page. There are other pages to test specific components (OPT's etc) for their usefulness in a given circuit topology. More of these will be added in the future.
